Keep the equipment running, and know what each stoppage costs
Operations managers live with the assets every day: breakdowns, service visits that did not happen, machines nobody uses and machines that should have been replaced last year. FixedAsset Pro records maintenance against the asset itself, so downtime, cost and cover are on the same record as its age and book value.

The questions this role asks
- Which machines stop most often, and for how long?
- Is preventive maintenance actually done on time?
- Is this breakdown covered by warranty or an AMC?
- Which assets sit idle while we plan to buy more?
- Which assets are due for replacement, and why?
A typical workflow
In order, with the product area behind each step.
Report a breakdown
From the register, the dashboard or a scanned tag; the work order shows the asset's warranty or AMC cover straight away.
Maintenance & AMCWork the order
Start, hold, resume, complete and close with parts and costs; spare parts are issued at moving-average cost and downtime is recorded.
Maintenance & AMCPlan preventive maintenance
Schedules by time or meter reading raise work orders automatically when they fall due.
Maintenance & AMCManage contracts and cover
AMC contracts with SLA, covered assets and planned visits; warranty and insurance expiry alerts before cover lapses.
Maintenance & AMCWatch utilisation
Idle assets in store and assets by location show where equipment can be redeployed instead of bought.
Reporting & AnalyticsReview replacement
A review list of assets past their life, costly to maintain or often down, with the evidence; keep, plan a replacement as a CapEx request, or open a disposal review.
AI Asset Intelligence
Outcomes the platform is designed to support
Outcomes depend on how your organisation uses the product; we do not promise savings or percentages.
Downtime you can measure
MTBF, MTTR, availability and PM compliance come from recorded work orders, not estimates.
Claims not missed
Every work order shows the asset's warranty or AMC, so a covered repair is claimed rather than paid for.
Contracts held to their SLA
Planned and missed AMC visits are tracked against the contract before renewal.
Replacement with reasons
A replace-or-keep decision comes with age, maintenance cost, downtime and book value; the decision stays with you.

Frequently asked questions
Can preventive maintenance follow running hours?
Yes. Schedules can be by time or by a meter reading, and the work orders are raised when a schedule falls due.
Does it track calibration?
Yes. Calibration records carry tolerance checks and a second-person approval, kept on the asset next to its warranty and AMC.
Will the AI replace assets on its own?
No. Replacement Intelligence is a review list with the reason and evidence for each asset. Nothing is moved, disposed of or bought without a person deciding.
Can technicians update work orders from the field?
Yes: from any PC on the desktop edition, a browser on the web edition, or the mobile app for web edition users.

A transfer looks like a change of location in the register. Depending on where the asset goes, it can also be a GST supply, a disposal by one company and an acquisition by another, and a gap in your verification. A practical guide.

Laptops and chairs are easy. Hot machines, sterilised equipment, vehicles, moulds at a vendor's site and land are not. A practical, asset-by-asset guide to tagging and verifying what does not take a sticker well.
