QR asset label generator
Make printable QR labels for your assets: type one code or paste a list of codes and names, choose the label sheet and print. Everything happens in your browser; nothing is uploaded.
4 labels on 1 A4 sheet.
Indicative calculations. Confirm with your Chartered Accountant before filing.
Assumptions used
- The QR code holds the asset code as plain text, or the link prefix followed by the code if you enter one. Error correction level M.
- Sheets are A4 portrait with the label grid centred. Label stock varies by brand, so print a test sheet on plain paper and hold it against your labels first.
- Print at 100% (actual size) with no margins. Browser headers and footers should be turned off in the print dialog.
- Up to 1,000 labels per run. Nothing is uploaded or stored; refreshing the page clears your list.
Frequently asked questions
Is my asset list uploaded anywhere?
No. The QR codes are generated by code that runs in your browser, and the page sends nothing you type to any server.
Which label sheets does it support?
A4 sheets of 50 × 25 mm (3 × 8), 70 × 37 mm (3 × 8, 24 per sheet), 63.5 × 38.1 mm (3 × 7, 21 per sheet) and 38.1 × 21.2 mm (5 × 13, 65 per sheet). Use Skip labels to start part-way down a sheet you have already used.
Should the QR code hold a link or just the asset code?
Plain codes work with any scanner and never break. A link (for example to your asset record) is handy for phones, but it has to keep working for the life of the asset. Leave the prefix blank to encode the code only.
How do I paste from Excel?
Copy two columns, asset code and asset name, and paste them into the list. Tabs and commas both work, and a header row is skipped.
What label material should I use?
For furniture and IT equipment, polyester or vinyl labels outlast paper. Outdoor, hot or chemical environments need industrial labels or metal tags; plain paper labels suit a trial run.

Automate this in FixedAsset Pro
FixedAsset Pro prints labels straight from the register, and its verification campaigns scan the same codes to record found, missing and moved assets with evidence.
